The federal EV charger tax credit has ended. The federal Alternative Fuel Refueling Property Credit (Section 30C) does not apply to home chargers placed in service after June 30, 2026. If your charger was installed and working by that date, ask your tax professional about claiming it on IRS Form 8911.

Who: Customers of Fort Collins Utilities, Loveland Water & Power, Longmont Power & Communications and Estes Park Power & Communications

Home rebates for efficiency and electrification projects, which can include heat pumps and related electrical upgrades. Programs were updated January 1, 2026. Pre-approval is required before work begins.

Xcel Energy (Colorado)

Who: Xcel Energy electric customers across the Front Range and Denver metro

Xcel has offered rebates toward the 240V wiring for home Level 2 EV chargers, with higher amounts for income-qualified customers. Amounts and rules change, so confirm current terms with Xcel before installing.
